17 Dec Simple Dashboards Using GL Summaries and Excel Reports for Dynamics GP
This video shows how to quickly create a dashboard that pulls information from the Dynamics GP general ledger and displays it as three separate graphs on one worksheet.
This uses Excel Reports for Dynamics GP that automatically creates a data connection back to Dynamics GP. This means you can refresh the data in your Excel report any time you want.
The value of this is that you can use the rich formatting functionality in Excel to create the list, table, or graph you want. You can create multiple selections of data and create graphs based on the selected data.
And then any time you want to update your reports you can just click on the Refresh button. Your reports will be updated with new or changed data, and your previous formatting, graphs, etc. will be retained.
This allows you to quickly put together reports that you can use multiple times and share with others.
