24 Feb Microsoft Business Intelligence Solutions – BI on the go in GP 2015
As self-service business intelligence tools are seeing huge adoption numbers, Microsoft business intelligence tools inside GP 2015 keep pace with industry trends.
As new trends in business intelligence emerge constantly, 2015 will see real-time interaction with business intelligence as end users expect to be able to digest and gain insights at a glance from their mobile devices according to a recent article at eWeek.com.
“Data preparation is one of most difficult and time-consuming challenges facing business users of BI and data discovery tools, as well as advanced analytics platforms,” said Rita Sallam, Gartner’s research vice president. “However, data preparation capabilities are emerging that will provide business users and analysts the ability to extend the scope of self-service to include information management, and extract, transform and load (ETL) functions, enabling them to access, profile, prepare, integrate, curate, model and enrich data for analysis and consumption by BI and analytics platforms.”
Microsoft is keeping pace with growing emphasis on self-service business intelligence as it releases new versions of its Dynamics ERP platforms including Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 was released in December with a number of enhancements to functionality and mobility.
Here are two of the major business intelligence improvements in Dynamics GP 2015 over previous versions.
Business Analyzer 7
Business Analyzer is a powerful business intelligence app inside GP and this latest version in GP 2015 is now available for Windows 8, iOS and Android. Plus the new business analyzer can now display and interact with content directly from Management Reporter, a reporting centric BI app inside GP.
Excel and SmartList Designer
The latest version of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 allows users to create refreshable Excel reports created from SmartList Designer in GP for more streamlined reporting and actionable, real-time data insights.
