RoseASP Hosting Partner FAQ

Answers to all your questions about RoseASP’s Partner Program

How can I partner with RoseASP?

RoseASP works with all partners in the channel. If you have an opportunity, we will assist you in the sales process by providing quotes, brochures, references, and training. Once the opportunity closes, we will handle the billing and remit your monthly commission for the hosting fees. See below for more information on VOICE credit and customer-add credit.

How is partnering with RoseASP different than working with other hosting providers?

As a provider for over 20 years, RoseASP has a wealth of experience with Dynamics ERP and CRM products and is certified across multiple product lines. Every team member is certified on the products they work on. This level of expertise makes a huge difference in the support level we provide to both partners and customers. RoseASP has received numerous awards for its cloud services and product knowledge.

How is support handled?

We have 24/7/365 technical support available for connectivity and printing.  Application support should be provided by the partner.  Should that not be available, we also have application support which is available from 8:30 AM – 8 PM EST. For enquiries outside these service hours, each customer will be given access to the Microsoft Dynamics CustomerSource site.

What about system upgrades?

As RoseASP is a hosted system, there’s no hardware or software to install or maintain –we handle all that for the users. We provide a true SaaS solution; there are no additional fees for upgrades and service packs to the client. Ongoing software updates and system maintenance are provided as part of the monthly hosting fees.  Customers will be given at least 72 hours notice for any maintenance or upgrades that are required.

What about system availability?

Excluding scheduled maintenance times, RoseASP offers a 99.9% system uptime guarantee, which we typically exceed.  All systems are constantly monitored for usage, disk space, bandwidth consumption, and general performance.  Users are given a 24/7/365 support number for issues concerning connectivity and printing.

Can I sell the license and just have RoseASP do the hosting?

Yes. We have many customers who either keep their on-premise licenses and move to our hosting service or choose to purchase the license instead of renting from RoseASP.

How long does your contract term run?

Our contracts typically run 1 year with a 90-day cancellation clause.

Who bills the customer? RoseASP or the Partner?

RoseASP handles everything. We do billing and collections for the partners. Once monthly service fees are collected, we will remit the monthly commissions to our partners.

Do I have to be a Microsoft Certified Dynamics Partner to earn commissions?

No. Our offering is open to all Microsoft Partners.

How can I be assured that I will always retain ownership of the customer?

RoseASP and our partners make agreements stipulating that, as long as the partners are in good standing with Microsoft, the relationship remains with them.

How will I get recognition for my leads and do I get a credit for a customer “add”?

Our sales process associates you with your leads. When an opportunity closes, we will complete the necessary paperwork to ensure you receive the proper revenue and customer add credit on VOICE.

Can our solution integrate with Office 365?

Absolutely. In fact, our solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly with Office 365.

Can our solution integrate with CRM online?

Yes. We also host the connectors necessary to integrate CRM with ISV and ERP solutions. Please contact us for more specifics.

Are Macs supported?

Yes, we support all Macs, PCs, and iPads.

Can the client be located anywhere in the world?

Yes, we work with customers around the world, including both multinationals and U.S.-based businesses with subsidiaries based in other countries. We support numerous language sets worldwide.

Can clients start with RoseASP and migrate to on-premise in the future?

Yes. RoseASP uses the same code as Microsoft Dynamics AX, GP, NAV, and SL on-premise versions. If a customer wants to move to an on-premise deployment, they simply purchase an on-premise license and we will restore the database. No upgrades and no data conversion are required.

What access does the partner get to the data and SQL tables?

Each partner receives SQL Management Studio utilities and SA Password for the SQL instance. This password allows partners to do their own backups and restores independent of the RoseASP scheduled backups.

Do you assist with data conversion?

We prefer our partners maintain the responsibility of data conversion. However, we can provide templates for data conversion to clients. Additional fees apply if RoseASP does the conversion work.

How much storage do you provide?

We provide 10 gigs of free storage for shared environments and 50 gigs of free storage for dedicated environments. Additional storage is available for an extra charge.

Is there an extra charge for additional companies?

No additional charge. The client can have as many companies as they like.

How many data centers do you have and where are they located?

RoseASP maintains two separate SSAE 16 certified data centers located in San Diego, California and Scottsdale, Arizona.

What is SAS 70/SSAE No. 16 certification?

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) developed the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) certification, now referred to as SSAE No. 16, to recognize that a company has been through an in-depth audit of their control processes. SSAE No. 16 is a detailed audit that shows prospective and current customers that the organization has been thoroughly checked and deemed to have satisfactory controls in place either when hosting or processing information. Public companies that are required to maintain SOX certification will be given access to the SSAE No. 16 Audited Reports as part of their annual SOX compliance requirements.

Do you have fail over capabilities in place?

Yes. Within the main data center in San Diego, CA we have redundant systems to protect against major system failure(s). In the case the San Diego data center experiences a catastrophic event, an off-line system in a second data center located in Scottsdale, AZ will be brought on-line.

How is data backed up?

RoseASP prides itself on exceeding industry standards for backup so you never have to worry about the security of your data. The production database is backed up in real-time to disk every night. Each week a backup is removed from our data center and stored offsite in a secure location. Monthly and yearly backups are retained for seven years offsite as well. Test restores are performed weekly.

How do we get our data if we decide not to use the service any further?

At the end of the subscription term, if a customer chooses not to renew, RoseASP will make a backup of the data including all reports and customizations available, then deliver it to the customer at no further charge.

Is anything installed on-premise with the client?

No software is installed at the client site. Each user downloads a small client/receiver (either for Windows or MAC) to allow for the Citrix connection.
