Cloud Data Security Keeping it Safe

Cloud Data Security Keeping it Safe

Cloud data security is the number one concern of CFO’s and Controllers when thinking about moving their ERP systems to the cloud. If they move to the cloud, the comfort of having their data just down the hallway disappears. But what also disappears is the fear of having to protect their data just down the hallway.

Data security and access security are what we think about all the time. This is how we protect data in our data centers:

Physical Data Center Security

  • Onsite network operating center (NOC) staff 24/7/365
  • Man traps
  • Biometric identification
  • Kevlar impregnated drywall (NOC) and bullet proof glass (NOC)
  • Redundant separate electrical systems
  • Redundant UPS’s and generators
  • Redundant air cooling infrastructure

System Cloud Data Security

  • Continual monitoring/intrusion detection
  • SOX compliant security protocols
  • Data centers are SSAE No. 16, Type 2 compliant
  • Daily, weekly backups, monthly, annual backups maintained offsite
  • Test data restores performed on a regular basis
  • Virus protection scan applied to all user-stored files
  • Latest system and application service packs and patches applied as required

We use top tier data center providers. In each data center we maintain our own locked cage that contains our equipment. All servers, network hardware, and data storage is owned and managed by us, and contained in our dedicated locked cage.
